E3 Athletic Training and Performance offers one-hour training sessions in a private, focused environment tailored to the needs of each athlete. At E3 Athletic Training and Performance, we collaborate with coaches to develop customized workout programs for teams across all sports. Whether it’s preseason prep, in-season support, or off-season development, we work alongside your coaching staff to ensure athletes are getting exactly what they need to perform at their highest level.

CREDENTIALS & TRAINING


DeShawn was an elite level athlete through high school and college, playing football at the Football Bowl Subdivision and professional levels. After his playing days were over, he went on to serve 12 years in the United States Air Force, earning his Master of Business Administration in the process.  Upon completion of his service in 2014, DeShawn headed back to school and earned a M.S. in Counseling and Student Development. In conjunction with his work as a school counselor, DeShawn has spent the past 11 years mentoring high school athletes in various coaching positions.  In 2021 he decided to combine his passion for fitness and coaching to earn a M.S. in Human Performance with an emphasis in Strength and Conditioning. In addition, DeShawn is a National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coach

DeShawn has been coaching athletes and various sports (football, basketball, and track) at the middle and high school levels for over 20 years. 

His performance training philosophy centers around building functional strength and conditioning while focusing on injury mitigation through building tendon strength, joint strength, proper movement and by increasing mobility.

DeShawn is currently working with several high school athletes to improve their overall athletic performance in their specific sports.
